Visual Arts Center Residency 
Summer 2026



My residency at the Visual Arts Center comprised of a few parts - first, an idea of designing suspended planters that would mirror Victorian metal baskets. Second, diving into my sculptural practice by exploring new shapes inspired by flowers and Art Nouveau architecture.

This resulted in two extremely different designs of planters, both made of two parts that were put together after the glaze firing. I finished two intricately carved sculptures as well.
